Platinum Consultants (Aust) Pty Ltd ("we", "us") provides the Overhead & Employee Cost Calculator. This policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with the Service, consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
We collect: (a) account details — your name, company name, email and password; (b) business data you enter — employee pay and cost details, and your Profit & Loss figures used for the calculations; (c) connection data — if you connect Simpro or Xero, the access tokens and the data you choose to import (e.g. staff, pay rates, P&L); (d) billing information — handled by our payment processor Stripe (we do not store card numbers); and (e) usage and technical logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
We use this information to provide and improve the Service, perform the calculations you request, connect to Simpro/Xero at your direction, process your subscription, provide support, and meet legal obligations. Nominated Platinum support staff may access your workspace to assist you; such access is limited and logged.
We use trusted providers to run the Service: Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication and database), Fly.io (hosting), and Cloudflare (infrastructure), and we exchange data with Simpro and Xero only when you connect them. We do not sell your personal information. Some providers may store data outside Australia; we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protections.
Data is stored in secured, access-controlled cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit. We restrict access to those who need it and take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No system is perfectly secure; you are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe.
We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service and meet legal/record-keeping obligations. You may request deletion of your account data (subject to obligations we must retain).
You may access or correct your personal information, disconnect Simpro/Xero at any time, and request deletion. To make a request, contact us using the details below. You may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you are not satisfied with our response.
We use only the storage necessary to keep you signed in and remember your selected workspace. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
